CONTROL | Briefly describe the progressive discipline system

Briefly describe the progressive discipline system.

ANSWER
Progressive discipline ties reprimand to the severity of the employee’s infractions. Penalties for misbehavior vary according to the significance of the problem. A progressive discipline system takes into consideration such things as:
        The seriousness of the problem
        How frequently it has occurred
        How long it lasts
Past experiences in dealing with the person who has caused the problem
The goal is to achieve compliance with organizational expectations through the least extreme reprimand possible.
