Briefly explain the importance of
controlling in organizations.
ANSWER
Controlling
makes sure that plans are achieved, and that actual performance meets or
surpasses objectives set up by the organization. The foundation of control is
information. The data collected in the controlling process reinforces how well
or how poorly objectives are being met. Controlling sees to it that the right
things happen, in the right way, at the right time. It helps ensure that people
comply with organizational policies and procedures.
